This was during the installation. System is now all up and running. 20KW of battery and 2 6.5KW inverters in split phase 240V. 12x265W panels with more to be installed this summer. The total system will have 8KW of panels when completed. I might add an additional 20KW of batteries too.

For monitoring the system and providing some of best historical data collection in the business. It does require the use of a small single board computer call a raspberry pi, but they have ready to roll off the shelf systems if you like. Read their web site, watch some video and see if you don't agree. Overall it's small additional investment that will give you deep insight on your systems operation.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. The system has been working full time for about 10 months now. I did have a hiccup with it back about 4 months ago. 1 of my inverters started to act up so I ordered a replacement. I swapped out the inverter and everything was running again. After contacting Orient Power and working thought the problem (they were very helpful and prompt) I discovered the inverter for some reason changed itself from 60Hz to 50Hz. The only explanation I have is that somehow when the inverters were trying to start a 7.5HP 240V compressor, the batteries over current and shut down the system. When this happened, 1 of the inverters became confused and did a factory reset (which is 50Hz). I have the old inverter back in the system again and everything has been working as designed. The problem never reappeared or could be duplicated again. Now I have 2X more panels or 24 x 265W of panels. We also added a 5HP 240V well pump to the load. More batteries are planned! Overall I am very pleased with the system. The user interface on the batteries and inverters are well thought out. Some of the user interface is strange but overall simple to use. Everything is working great! Make sure to get Watch Power setup on your phone to monitor your system remotely, it’s a great feature. OP Solar has been excellent to deal with, not only at the time of purchase but also later on when having problems. Fast shipping and super service.
